SECOND ALBUM FROM BREAKS PIONEER Simon Shackleton aka Elite Force has been a big name in breaks since the scene's early days back in the late 90s, when he recorded for the Fused & Bruised and Whole Nine Yards labels. Modern Primitive is his second artist album and on this release we find him becoming more at ease with producing vocal tunes, even featuring some of his own vocals throughout the album. I've put this in our breakbeat section but some of the tunes here would just as happily fit into a house or electro set, so adaptible is the artist's brand of 'tech funk' as it's known to some
